Learning disabilities are disorders that affect the ability to understand language, do mathematical calculations, coordinate movements, or direct attention. They are common in school – age children. In addition to academic challenges, these children often have social, emotional, and behavioral problems. What happens before and after birth may have an impact on a child’s brain development which can trigger learning difficulties.
